Easy Quick Bread (all I ever make)

For:                              1 loaf                      2 loaves                        3 loaves

You will need:

Water                          1 cup                         2 cups                         3 loaves

Sugar                         1 & 1/2 Tblspns      3 Tblspns                   4 & 1/2 Tblspns

Yeast                        1 pkt                         2 pkts                             3 pkts

Flour                       3 cups                         6 cups                          9 cups

Salt                          1 & 1/2 tsp                1 Tbspn                      4 & 1/2 tspns

Yeast from a jar: 2 & 1/4 tsp = 1 packet.

The water needs to be lukewarm & if the bowl is cold or cool warm it in hot water first.

Mix water & sugar well & then add yeast stir & then let sit 5 min.

Add half of flour via sifter & salt.

Stir until well mixed & then gradually add the rest of the flour mixing with spoon while you can & then kneading the rest on floured board to mix in the rest of the flour.

Return to bowl & cover with damp cloth.

Put in warm (at least 85 degrees) place for 45 minutes or until is doubled in bulk.

Punch down & re knead.

Seperate if you’re making more than 1 loaf of bread & put into pre- greased pan(s) cover & let rise again for at least 30 min (again until doubled in bulk)

Bake for aprox 30 minutes at 425 degrees.

Let cool at least 10 minutes before you try to cut bread.
