So we woke up Wednesday morning to rain, outside & in the kitchen & dining room. (wasn’t really expecting the dining room I have to admit) Luckily 18’s room was still dry, the tarp her friend A installed on Tuesday was holding up nicely.
The contractor guy showed up around 9:45 & looked at the tree, inside outside & all around the house, gave Chrissea & I a long talking to about insurance practices & how things would go down with the timeline on getting this done.
I left for work & the contractor stayed & talked Chrissea’s ear off until the tree cutting guys showed up. Chrissea told me they were cutting & throwing pieces of pine off the house for hours, they forgot their ladder & had to use mine (not really a ladder, more like a wreck of a ladder) spilled their 2 stroke oil on the way up here so had to go to the store as soon as they got here to buy more & at one point she was walking out to her car to get something & one of the guys almost jumped off the roof on top of her, he didn’t realize she was walking out from under the porch.
Chrissea feels they’re competent however. We shall see. From what I understand, they won’t be back for awhile, they got all of the holes covered & the insurace agency will have to come back out to assess the situation, make sure they covered the holes & then they’ll write the check for the actual repairs & then the house will get repaired!

GAH! That’s a long drawn out process. I hope things happen a little quicker than they sound.
